Over 15 years ago, the children at Kars Public School planted a beautiful flower garden in the school yard as a class project. For many years students have enjoyed the beauty of this garden and it's colours and aromas.
After our Gardening Committee cleared and thinned out our "Learning Garden" last year, it now is in desperate need of new perennials and shrubs.
We would like to transform this garden into a Butterfly and Hummingbird Garden in hopes that the milkweed and aromatic flowers will attract monarchs and other colourful butterflies.
We will be turning and planting our "Learning Garden" this spring so that our students will be able to enjoy it when they return in the fall.
